Mysterium Tremendum

Mysterium Tremendum, the terrible and awesome mystery

Your face is masked, shielded from prying minds

You cannot be known, by reason, study or dissection

Tear the veil in impatient intellectual pursuit

Tear the Soul, rip her apart

Cast aside the tendrils, of gossamer heavenly silk

Oh mysterious One, both tremendous in your action and being

I tremble in front of your arched gates
